Hello 150 pounds!
I’m down to 150 pounds! I haven’t been doing anything special except not eating fast food and trying to stick to water and my daily coffee (which I have with 1 measured teaspoon of sugar and 1/4 cup 2% milk). I’m also trying to just be more active every day, like walking down to our apartment’s mailboxes to get the mail, instead of driving. Round trip is almost a half mile.
That didn’t seem like it would be much but then I thought about how much fast food I used to eat. I used to eat more processed food too. For instance I’d get coffee and a bagel with cream cheese or an egg McMuffin for breakfast, then have a TV dinner for lunch at my desk, and then grab pizza on the way home for dinner. I also drank sweet tea all day. I can’t imagine how much sugar I was consuming. I thought I was being healthy with the TV dinner for lunch since it was always a Lean Cuisine or similar, but there are so many additives and so much sodium in them, I realize now it wasn’t healthy at all.
I think being a stay at home mom has really cut out my opportunities to eat like that since I’m not stuck in the car all the time anymore. Now for breakfast I usually have whole wheat toast and yogurt, for lunch I make a simple sandwich and have more fruit, and then dinner is something I actually cook like chicken and veggies.
I’m still not doing actual workouts. I’ve been trying to make sure I get walking in, but the walking videos I was doing was a bit too much. I kept waking up the next day with incision pain from my c-section so my doctor said to give myself more time.
Whew. Only 30ish more pounds to go.
